Be part of your community in a way that transcends normal philanthropy! At the JRAYs, we support and impact over 1,000 students every year. These students are the singers, dancers, production team, technical designers, stage crew, and scenic artists who work with true dedication and commitment to make the magic of musical theatre happen in our communities.
Your support allows us to:
- Travel all over LA and Orange Counties and the Inland Empire to adjudicate local high school musical productions.
- Evaluate over 37 performance and technical categories. Hundreds of students receive nominations.
- Provide valuable TalkBack notes to the cast and production teams of our participating schools.
- Produce a fantastic award show at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse every May! The award show features live performances from our participating schools, trophy presentations in each category, and scholarship giveaways. That event sells out (with over 1,400 tickets!) every year.
- Give away over $20,000 in scholarships, unique training, and work experiences to our participating students. That includes sending four students to the Broadway Artists Alliance (BAA), a week-long workshop and showcase in New York City, run by Broadway and industry professionals.

JRAY is a 501c(3) non-profit and all of our judges and board members volunteer countless hours because we believe in your kids.
It is the JRAY mission to bring recognition and appreciation of the performing arts to the artists, technicians, designers, technicians and musicians in high school theatre productions across the Southland.
